Senior Systems Automation Engineer

You must have at least 8 – 10 years + of solid work experience with a creative mind, sharp and detail oriented, primarily focused on Lead Administration Automation and MonitoringHA server environments and Enterprise Infrastructure.


Requirements | Skills:

  • Primary focus is on uptime availability for all products and services.
  • Ability to apply a multidisciplinary approach in order to identify root causes of problems.
  • Solid skills administering Windows OS, Linux, with advanced Scripting via PowerShell and Perl for manipulating API’s, building dynamic configurations with templates, kickstarts, and automation builds.
  • Broad knowledge of networking administration (routing/switching, VLANs, VMware vCenter, Juniper switches, and Palo Alto Firewall management)
  • Expert at maintaining HA infrastructure with tuning, load balancing, and mitigating DDOS attacks (CloudFlare/F5)
  • Administrative management of Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Azure AD, o365, Exchange, MDM, Sharepoint, WSUS, DNS, DHCP, Bitlocker, Solarwinds, WordPress, Okta, Symantec Endpoint Protection, and Certificate Authorities
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows Virtualization, VMware vCenter, vMotion, Disaster Recovery, iSCSI, CIFS, Samba, Veeam, SAN, NAS platforms in an enterprise clustered/high availability environment
  • Knowledge of database configuration/maintenance/backup MS-SQL (SQL Cluster), MySQL, and MongoDB (Mongo Cluster); ability to maintain DB environments, perform backups, implement maintenance jobs/indexes/replication, and failover DB cluster.
  • Capability in architecture design, system evaluations, system analysis, and infrastructure assessment/audits
  • Ability to problem-solve, innovate, communicate, and collaborate within a small team environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and time management skills.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and actively contribute towards our ongoing documentation effort.

  • Ability to use unconventional approaches to solve problems when standard approaches are not effective.
  • Have a proactive monitoring and thinking mentality focusing on innovation (do more with less)
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills, experience in a 24/7 production environment, and willing to be on call 24/7
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, configure, rack and stack equipment in datacenter.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
  • Must be able to see opportunities for improvement, take ownership and work closely with our development team to drive product improvement through automation deployment methods
  • Must be able to facilitate software engineering team with day-to-day requests for hardware, software, resizing, testing, and configurations
  • Be proficient with TFS ticketing/automated deployments with TFS
  • Must be willing to adhere to strict change control (checklists, change request tickets, CAB review, deployments, scripts, validation and rollback procedures)
  • Must be willing to actively manage their ticket queue, coordinate and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, and provide timely updates accordingly
  • Must feel comfortable doing any job task, being a jack of all trades with a can-do attitude
  • Team Player mentality with experience building and maintaining relationships across various teams
  • Excellent technical leadership and interpersonal skills that instill confidence and trust among FlexOffers’ client data base, internal leaders and peers.
  • Experience with advanced application software skills, including presentation, spreadsheet, word processing, and project management applications
  • Ability to travel to different office locations within the Miami area (as required)
  • Other special projects as assigned by Management

Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, servers, workstations and related equipment.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Information Systems
  • Certifications: VMware Certifications a plus
